Healthy Information

This project requires students to critically assess health related Internet sites. The lesson meets many Prescribed Learning Outcomes for Planning 10 as well as meeting the criteria for the Portfolio Core Aspect 5.1. This project is highly valuable for teachers and students in that it meets learning outcomes for both the Planning 10 course and the Portfolio Core Aspect. All students can complete this assignment in Planning 10 and all students can place this in their Portfolio to meet Core Aspect 5.1. It is a great way to get students started on their portfolio.

Parent and Community Brochure

The resources developed for the district support the promotion andunderstanding of the Portfolio for students, staffs and parents. These resources were intended to help all persons involved in the production of a high quality Portfolio so that they would understand the concepts, organizers and aspects of the Portfolio. It has been written in easy to understand language, avoiding educational jargon and terminology as much as possible. These three resources are constant across the district so that all students in each of the seven secondary schools share the same vision and expectations of criteria.
